Congratulations!!!

This past weekend Michael and I jumped into his parents car and made a 6 1/2 hour ride to

to see Zach (Michael's little brother) graduate from College. Zach completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Communication in just 3 years. Michael and I are extremely proud of him and how hard he worked. We wish him the best when it comes to the job hunt! It is a tough time to keep a job, let alone find one fresh out of College.

We had a nice weekend in Davis, CA and hope to go back there sometime. The town is small but adorable. With all the rain Michael and I didn't get out around town very much. We did however have a nice time with Michael's family at the graduation and the events after the graduation. It is always fun to spend time with family and friends, especially around the holiday season.

We saw The Blindside which is a great movie. Recommend it to everyone.

Congratulations again Zach!

Bathroom # 2

Our house is starting to feel bigger... Anyone that has been to our house knows what a tiny little bathroom we have in our master. You seriously have to step in the shower to close the door behind you. You think I am kidding? We even had to change out the elongated toilet to a round one to give us more space.

We have been able to talk BJ into coming over and working on our bathroom #2 for some house guests we had over the past weekend. He was able to finish the toilet and the vanity. We are so excited to have a second working bathroom. He will finish up the walls and the shower and we are good to go.

Before Picture - This picture doesn't do it justice...just an FYI

This is what it looks like today...

Do you like our green accent walls? OK, it is colored drywall. We will be painting someday.

And as always our puppies...

They love the new house and backyard. They made a mad dash across the street to the neighbors this morning. Bad dogs. They are just adorable and we love them.

Spa

Michael's family friends gave us a wonderful gift back in August. I have forgotten to blog about it, which is just selfish. I didn't want any one to "just stop by" =).

They gave us this spa!!! It is amazing.

Michael's Cousins Jeanie and Mark were so kind and helped (ok they did it all) us hook up our spa. This is what they did:

And they even put in a temporary sub panel box. Eventually we will put this outside, but this was a temporary hook up job.
It is amazing and we love it. Thank you Mark and Jeanie for all your help with everything. And a sincere thank you to Judy and Ron for the spa!!!

Yummmmmmm

So I have taken up cooking... ok not really, but I started teaching myself to cook. I am trying some cool recipes and even eating it. Here are some pictures...

Chicken Marsala:

Lasagna:

Apple Pie:

My husband likes it... and that is all that counts in my book.

Only a month late

We had a little tiny Halloween party. We played a Murder Mystery game "An Affair to Dismember". Each person played a character from the game. We had a fun time and everyone played their characters well. I guess we never got any pictures of Chris and Terra... Chris was The Mummy of King Aldrinktotat and Terra was Glumda the Witch of Depressed. If anyone else has some pictures... send them my way. Twisted ending, but it was very fun. We had a ton of trick or treaters which was fun as we all tried to get to the door to scare the little kids.

Gary Unmarried

My sister gave me a really cool Birthday present. She gave me and Mike tickets to the taping of Gary Unmarried. We went last night and had a blast. Jay Mohr is very funny and the whole cast was awesome to watch. As you all know I get a little star struck, so it was fun to see these actors in person. The set was really cool and it was fun to see the small details that I never noticed on TV. Some of the actors , including Jay Mohr, came up and spoke to the audience during the shoot. The ad libs were the funniest part. Jay would continue talking once the director ended the scene. He always had very funny things to say. I would recommend going to see a taping if you have never been before. We are excited to see the final product 4 weeks from tonight. The show is on Wednesday nights CBS 8:30PM . Watch the show and listen for our laughs.
Thanks again Katy!!!

The Zoo

This makes me sounds very old, but the last time I was at the L.A. Zoo I was in college. It must have been at least 8 years ago. Michael and I decided to take our little niece to the Zoo this past weekend. We arrived at Katy's Apartment and asked RL if she wanted to go with us to the Zoo. Her reply was " No, Grandpa and Grandma have already taken me to the Zoo." OK, then. Well we went anyway. We saw all the animals she wanted to see, ate a $30 lunch right next to the Zebras... it just doesn't get better than that. RL likes to see all the other kids and do what they do. She walked on the railings, ran up and down the pathway (thank you to my husband for chasing her) and cried when we had to leave the monkeys. She seemed to have a good time, but all she kept asking was if she could go to "Brenda Mike's house and give Jetta and Kita a treat?". So we left after about 3 hours and went home. She received a very wet hello from Jetta as she licked her entire face... and of course RL thought that was cool. She gave both dogs treats and snuggled in a blanket on the couch to watch Alice in Wonderland. We had a fun dinner with my parents at Reds BBQ in Simi Valley and then dropped RL off with her parents. She kept asking if she could spend the night and stay with us. It was so cute and we love that kid. She is so adorable and is getting so BIG! Her sentences are amazing and she surprises me constantly with the things she says. We were in the car on the way to the Zoo and the freeway was a little loud. She held her ears and said "what is that noise, it is so loud." We didn't know what she was talking about so we turned on the radio a little bit and she said " That is much better." She is so funny.
